"Chapters" outing

Well, I made it, thanks to my mom, and a good time was had by all! Although it certainly tired me out, I enjoyed at least an hour wheeling around Chapters, and of course, refreshments via Starbucks.
This week leads up to my next chemo treatment (Thursday) and I am feeling relatively stable. Unfortunately, I still need the oxygen, and I am unable to walk any distance without distress, even with the oxygen. HOWEVER, as long as I use the oxygen, and either stay in my lovely hospital bed, or wheelchair, then I am comfortable and I enjoy my time.
I haven't yet heard about the CT scan, although it should be coming up soon! I'll let you know.
Thanks to all of you faithful blogger responders, it really is a treat for me to see all of you who follow along with my journey. It makes me feel very fortunate to have so many of you in my life.
Joanne

Wonderful to log on and see you out and about!

Hope you got some good things to read. These chemos seem to come round so quickly. Stable is a great word.

Hi Joanne,
I'm sure I speak for all of your "blog-watchers" when I say what a lift it gave all of us to see your smiling face on your Chapters outing. It makes us happy to know that, even though the trip there was very tiring, you did have the energy and gumption to attempt it. After your trip there,I'm anticipating many new entries in the book club portion of your blog - really enjoy your reviews, suggestions and now, ratings! If you other blog readers haven't done so, check out the book club section of this blog. Avid readers love to get ideas/opinions so the more input the better! Good luck with the upcoming scan and next treatment. Love, Nick and Lorraine

Terrific, Jo! I see you've got a cuppa in your hand too. But not a book...hmmm. Was it really Chapters that you wanted to go to? LOL

My thoughts are with you as you approach your next chemo and await the test results. In fact, my thoughts are with you always.

xoxo

We are SO alike! My favourite thing to do in the whole world (well, in public ;) ) is browse bookshops and drink masses of coffee!

You look fabulous with your lovely bright smile and your starbucks cup! Almost didn't notice the wheelchair!

Congrats on the outing sweetie. I'm so glad you felt up to it.... ((((((( Jo )))))))

Hey Joanne, what a lovely picture of you in Chapters. Maybe you should have them deliver a book and coffee a day to the house. Who knows maybe it will catch on.
Have a great week leading up to your next treatment

You look great! Just catching up on all the posts in the past few weeks while I was away and without internet access. The kids are no longer kids in those pictures - it is amazing how quickly they grow up. Beautiful family - you should be proud.

Hello, Joanne. Look at you! Great to see you enjoying yourself, and there's nothing the rest of us need to see as much as you smiling out at us when we 'tune in 'to your blog. Best wishes for Thursday.

Hi Joanne! I read your blog all of the time and, just like everyone else, this one definitely brought a smile to my face. I particularly have to smile about your love of Starbucks...I love my lattes as well and it is amazing what comfort they bring me (and the rest of my Starbucks loving colleages) every day. We are all creatures of habit it seems and the smallest things can bring us the purest pleasures! So I am glad you were there to have a "fresh" one and hope that you also benefitted from the large selection of reading material!

Love,

Erin and Brett
