Blood Transfusion Today

Being a permanent cancer patient means there is always something on the go. Well, my hemoglobin levels took a dive this week, and so I had a very unplanned blood transfusion today. Although it took all day at the cancer clinic, it is really not a difficult procedure, and I am assured that I will be breathing much better virtually immediately.
It was a long day though, so right now, I'm very tired and I can't really tell - hopefully I will wake up tomorrow full of beans and ready for another day. Otherwise, all is well, I feel pretty OK, and the Neupogen is keeping my white blood cells in good shape.
Thanks to all for your continuing support...... Joanne

Hi Joanne, I hope that you wake up this morning feeling more chipper. We are off on vacation in two days and will be back August 25th. We are still planning to come to Saskatchewan for the September long weekend and I hope that I can see you than. Even for 5 minutes would be great.
Lots of Love, Loretta

Hi Joanne,
Good luck with the transfusion. Hopefully it gives you some energy and pep. I loved reading about the weekend to end breast cancer. You are all inspiring, you of course but your supporters as well. Thinking about you.

Hello Joanne, I love your stories and you write so well. I can only wish to develop those skills, but I will continue to work at it. I hope the blood helps you to feel better and breath easier. Love and energy - Claire

Hi Joanne:
Hopefully the blood will give you a little energy - sorry you had a long day in the hospital, but it wasn't during the long weekend which might have taken longer.
Do jot in your blog - it's great to hear from you.

Glad the transfusion gave you more energy and I hope that your outing involved replenishing your caffeine requirements at a Starbucks. Thinking of you every day.
